The Story of Us (Deluxe Edition)

Our Last Week :') Coming to Utah State with my best friends was the best decision I've ever made. Meeting Ellee, Audge, and Tamsen was the best thing that could've happened. I love this campus, my cute friends, and the current weather in Logan.

I'm a slut for good music taste, and it's a damn shame. Wow isn't that a good opener. Ms. Suzy Skinner would be so proud of me. Anyways, have you ever fallen in love with a song that someone showed you that you would've never liked if you'd have found it on your own? Like how I would've gone my entire life not listening to The Wombats if Thaller had never told me they were his favorite band. That's the same thing with JT and Microwave, Vundabar, RDGLDGRN, and The Smith Street Band, etc. I've never met someone who genuinely loves screamo, but JT is really into it, and he made me not hate it quite as much lmao. Thinking of You,  could possibly be in my top 10 all-time favorite songs now, so I'm very grateful for him. I liked Modern Baseball before I knew JT and I actually brought them up first in the first real conversation the two of us ever had, so I'm not too much of a sheep. If I had to sum up these last few weeks of college in a single word it would be Vundabar. Yeah its the name of a band, but more importantly, it means "wonderful" in Russian, which I think is very fitting. This semester has been one of the best times of my life. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been happier. It's going to be hard to leave, and I get sad thinking about how sad I'm going to be when I leave hahaha. Life's a bitch. I wish I would've left on a mission before college, or before the second semester. It would have been so much easier to leave. When you're going on a mission, no one wants to get attached to you, because you're not permanent. They know you're going to leave, so why would anyone bother putting in an effort; However I've met such amazing people this semester, and I just want to be around them all the time. Hello, yeah this was one of the nastiest things I've ever done but I loved every minute of it. Also, quick shout out to our waiter Glen who was very kind and we were the second group he'd ever served a sink to. Woooohoooo Also immediately following this we went and put the sticker on the front of Mark's car lmaooo. 

REEN  Obviously, she's number one. I really love my parents and my family but for real I think I like Reen more than them lmao. Especially since I came to college, she's like the cool sister I never had. After eight years of friendship, you really KNOW a person. My dad said that little things that my mom would do, like not wash her dishes, used to bug him so badly, but now he accepts it and just considers it one of her little quirks. I think Reen and I are kinda like that. She's the yin to my yang, and that sounds stupid, but its soooo true and we know it. We work so well together. It's always been us two for as long as I care to remember, and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon. I'm lowkey nervous for the day she gets married and leaves me because I'm going to be a wreck hahaha. "The worst part of the week is 11 pm on Tuesday Nights." I'm not an incredible skater, in fact, none of us are, but we show up to Fun Park every single Tuesday night from 9:30-11:00 and skate until our ankles protest and you can't tell whether we're wearing highlighter or just sweating profusely. Fun right? Here are a couple cute pictures of all the baby heads (peep me falling on my a$$ because I'm stupid). Also here's a picture of reen but I was lowkey trying to take a picture of Jon's shoes because he dresses really nice. No one is going to read this blog soooooo I can post what I want gtfo. 

I'm going to speak for everyone when I say that this night probably made most of our Top 5 Traumatic Experiences lists.  We've all seen the video of the group taking wedding pictures on a bridge and it collapses, right? Well, this was like that, but a little bit worse. Only 3 people went to the hospital; Although, there was an abundance of bruises and scrapes for a majority of the unsuspecting partygoers who chose the wrong spot to stand to watch two kids try to shave balloons. When I talk about this it seems sooo silly and my first reaction is to laugh but honestly, I don't think I'll ever forget the kid who was screaming, "Somebody call someone, someone call 911!" Anyways, it makes for a good story to tell people now but it had the potential to inflict some serious damage to some individuals. Our little group goes out to eat all together before one of us leaves for our missions, and our numbers are dwindling. First all the boys, then Em, followed by Kylie, and now Chrish and Booke. Okay well, they haven't left quite yet but next time we go out to eat there will be 4 of us. :(((( I'm grateful Jells doesn't leave for more than a month, I need a break from all the goodbyes. UGH I love my friends!! Oklahoma and Tahiti are getting the VERY BEST.

They used to say that the sun never set on the British Empire, but now I can say that the sun never sets on my friends who are out in the world serving our Savior, Jesus Christ.  THE CHURCH IS TRUE, the end. 

Lellie is leaving us for Kobe, Japan on July 18th. Good luck learning Japanese!! あなたを愛してます I don't think anyone would have EVER guessed that Ell was going to be called to Japan, but now I can't picture her going anywhere else <3

After 2 months of meetings, and 2.5 weeks of waiting, we FINALLY got our mission calls. Dear Sister Weston, you have been called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Riverside, California Mission. You will report to the Provo MTC on June 6th and will prepare to teach the gospel in the Spanish language.  Dear Sister Lindsey, you have been called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Belo Horizonte, Brazil Mission. You will report to the Brazil MTC on July 3rd and will prepare to teach the gospel in the Portuguese language.  MY BEST FRIEND IS GOING TO BRAZIL AND LEARNING PORTUGUESE, AND IM GOING TO LIVE IN CALIFORNIA AND SPEAK SPANISH!! I can honestly say that this is the happiest I have ever been. This is what we are supposed to be doing. Brazil and California are where reen and I are supposed to be. This is God's plan for

1. If you show up first to class, sit in the middle of the row. DO NOT SIT ON THE EDGE OF THE ROW AND MAKE EVERYONE CLIMB OVER YOU 2. The "Buffer seat" - if no one else is around DO NOT sit right next to another person!!!!!!! ugh 3. we live in America, we drive on the RIGHT side of the road, and we walk on the RIGHT side of the sidewalk. PLEASE 4. in the words of a queen, "when a woman says later, she really means not ever." If someone shows no interest in you, THEY'RE NOT INTERESTED wow CraZY 5. the best time to wash your dishes is RIGHT AFTER YOU EAT 6. we're adults, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF 7. PLEASE don't grind on people at dances 8. respect woman 9. remember that everyone you're hitting up is hitting up at least two other people (not always the case, but it's usually pretty accurate) 10. always remember: sexist jokes are not funny, racist jokes are not funny, rape jokes are not funny, holocaust jokes are not funny. JUST RESP

Have you ever heard the saying, "No one remembers the nights when they got plenty of sleep." Well..... as accurate as that is, I would suggest getting at least eight hours of sleep EVERY night. Sometimes be responsible, but sometimes stay up until 5 am living your best life with your best friends or maybe a boy you  genuinely  like.  BUT YOU'LL ONLY BE YOUNG ONCE SO IF YOU WANT TO STAY UP, THEN DAMN IT, STAY UP. BUT ONLY AS LONG AS YOU'RE GETTING GOOD GRADES.
